Pounders Roundup

The boys from KBB (Kahuku BodyBoarders) put together their annual beach clean up aptly titled Pounders Round Up; named after Pounders Beach in Laie. A great cause with a serious lesson on respecting the 'aina and building community. Oh yeah, there's also a bodyboard comp too. We snatched up some pics. More to come later. Good job KBB.

Sandy beach is an interesting beach. It's like it's own sub culture. You can get totally shacked on a dry wave or session pipe littles. There's multiple breaks there. But ask anyone, and they'll say that spongers run amok there. There's been some great bodyboard history that's went down at Sandy Beach Park. Here's a flick from way back, courtesy of Neal Miyake. With Oahu's very own living legend Kainoa McGee, winning one of his many comps.

IN4M x G-Shock

Not new to each other, Hawaii’s In4mation has once again hooked up with G-Shock on a new watch. While they kept it more colorful the last times, for Summer 2012 things are getting more subtle. They worked on the GLX-150X-7JR G-Lide watch, kept it in all white with a small red accent on the strap holder and their logo printed on the straps in black. The custom packaging comes with an all over print though.

The new In4mation x G-Shock watch will release June 2012.
