The King of Pipe? (2013)

Just ran into this gem of a video while browsing youtube. In 2013, the IBA held an expression session and invited wave riders of all forms to compete against one another to be the King of Pipe. Some big names were involved in the heat. Those that were invited included:

Bruce Irons -- riding a surfboard

Jamie O'Brien -- riding a surfboard

Mike Stewart -- riding a bodyboard

Jeff Hubbard -- riding a bodyboard

Kala Alexander -- riding a SUP board

Kainoa McGee -- riding a SUP board

Mark Cunningham -- bodysurfing


So stoked that it was the IBA that put this event on. Truly epitomizing WAVE SLIDE CULTURE! This expression session replicates what a normal line-up would look like and it's pretty cool to see it turned into a competition. What are your thoughts?
